In this talk I will dive into some of the technical details of Bifrost Aero – a new dynamics solver for smoke, fire and combustion phenomena included in the Autodesk Bifrost procedural environment. In particular, I will cover the fundamental dynamics equations, flame propagation model and thermodynamics. In addition, I will present and discuss our new algorithms for spatially adaptive fluid simulation and temporally smooth smoke emission when taking large time steps.
Requirements for participation: No specific prerequisites are required, but an understanding of basic classical mechanics, thermodynamics and calculus will be helpful.
