VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENTS LAB

In summer 2022, Crater Training Center organized a unique learning experience regarding virtual environments for video games, film, and television.

Virtual Environments Lab was an educational program exploring different aspects of creating environments for different digital sets.

The program was focused on the Unreal Engine 5 workflow and presented a two-month prep process for the the sixth CGA conference – particularly for its online edition. All of the four environments created in Crater are used in the livestream production, one simulating a level in a video game, the other a movie set, and the third simulating a broadcast studio.

For us, this was an exciting opportunity to create stunning visuals for the conference together with the local CG community.
