David Hibbitts

David is a former mathematician who started his career in the VFX industry as a researcher at Andy Serkis’ Imaginarium Studios, where he worked on a wide range of projects including Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, Battlefield 1, Star Citizen and The Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of The Tempest.
During his time at The Imaginarium, David developed techniques in facial and body retargeting and explored the integration of Motion Capture with real-time game engines using Unreal Engine. The work he did was used in the groundbreaking production of The Tempest where an on-stage actor was puppeteering a digital avatar using Motion Capture that was projected back onto the stage in real-time.
David now works as a Technical Account Manager for Epic Games where he helps Media and Entertainment companies across Europe to leverage the power of the Unreal Engine to take their projects to the next level.
